Novartis Foundation joins SCBF as its 31st member
SCBF is pleased to share that the Novartis Foundation has joined us as our 31st member. We welcome them to our growing family and look forward to working with them on aligned objectives for bridging the health protection gap.
The Novartis Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Basel, Switzerland. Leaning on advanced analytics, data and AI, its work aims to facilitate a paradigm shift from reactive care systems into proactive, predictive and preventive health systems that keep people healthy and enable greater health equity for populations across geographies.
SCBF, with it’s strategic focus on financing and health aims to improve health outcomes of low-income households through the reduction of out-of-the-pocket expenditures by addressing the gaps and increasing access to primary care in LICs &MICs.
With our aligned objectives, we intend to capitalise on each other’s strengths, expertise and resources for bridging health protection gap and creating greater health equity in emerging contexts.
Ann Aerts, MD, Head of the Novartis Foundation, is looking forward to this new partnership:
“At the Novartis Foundation, we use data and technology to address two of the world’s most pressing health issues: cardiovascular disease and health inequities.
We take a population health approach, meaning we widen the lens from a narrow focus on healthcare delivery to a panoramic vision of improving health in populations at large.
Our work brings together disconnected data from different sectors to generate insights that support decision-makers understand what truly drives health outcomes and their disparities and define the best ways and best partners to remediate those.
Because of our complementary visions, joining SCBF is a logical step, and we look forward to a fruitful exchange with other members and partners. Together, we can create a better, more equitable tomorrow for as many people as possible.”
